GBA Mission Statement

The aim for setting up Green Buoy Arts (A Social Enterprise) is to make art accessible for all on the Isle of Wight. From buying it to appreciating and learning it.

This will be achieved through courses

Wood Carving
Creating art from all mediums
Crafts
Photography
Art classes for children known as the Artful Shrimp, Crab, and Lobster Art Clubs.

These will be held ‘In The Galley’

There will also be courses in Wood Creativity for vulnerable adults and disengaged school students. The aim will be to increase trade and life skills, employability and confidence.

The main shop will be used as an art gallery and for selling art supplies.

This space will be made available to business from the south of England for launch parties and other such events, especially during Cowes Week

It is the intention to hold quarterly B2B networking events at GBA

There will be quarterly art exhibitions in the Gallery showcasing emerging local artists/photographers as well as a Children’s exhibition of work completed in the Artful Crustacean’s Art Clubs!
